Can't make it to the carnival in Rio? Don't worry, we know about a better one!
February and March is carnivaltime on the Canary Islands, a large festival where both young and old participate. Hundreds of thousands of residents and thousands of tourists are joining in to celebrate the great festival, which for many is seen as one of the most vivid after the Carnival in Rio de Janerio.
Carnival is held on all islands and in many different cities, but the largest are in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
One of the best things about carnival in the Canary Islands is that everyone can participate. One do not need to buy expensive costumes or make extravagant outfits. People of all ages and sizes are out in the streets celebrating, because here the most important thing is to have fun.

The Power of Imagination
Hubby is always speaking about "The Power of Imagination". If you believe enough in something, you will end up achieving it. For him this always comes through, and he really believes in the things that he want in life. But in my family it seems that we end up getting the things that we fear the most...

Photo of the Day: Did David Beckham play too much Red Dead Redemption?
Have David Beckham been playing too much Red Dead Redemption lately, or is it just me that is starting to get a bit obsessed with this game?
I think the new style of Becks looks exactly like John Marston in RDR, and I'm not quite sure I like it on him.
It fits the shabby cowboy with his rough voice and bad ass manners, but not the manicured/pedicured British with the thin voice. Maybe his stay in the US is starting to turn him into a cowboy from the Wild West? Or maybe he hopes it will?
Anyway, I guess it's just a few weeks before he changes his style again. What will it be next time? Sackboy from Little Big Planet...? Now, THAT could be interesting! ;)

Funniest song in a long time: Un Papa Americano - An American Pope
The funniest song I have heard in a long time! ;)
"For centuries the pope was italian.
There have been spanish, polish and german popes.
But they have always been european.
That's why the next pope should be...
An american pope
The mass could be in rock'n'roll.
If there was an american pope
cheerleaders would dance during the sermon
and the choir would sing "Only you".
An american pope
Bread, fish and rock'n'roll"

The Tourist with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp
My two all-time favorite actors; Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie - together - in the same movie. Life is just too good to be true sometimes! Or is it...?
Two of the best and most sexy actors in the whole world sharing the screen. It should be magical, dynamite, sensual. People should be flabbergasted by talent and movie theaters should explode of all the hotness. But something is not quite right.
Question of the day - Knocking and entering
Is it normal to enter a house if you knock on the door and noone answers? Do you really have to lock your door with a key to keep neighbors from entering?
It's great that neighbors feel so comfortable that they enter your house whenever they want to, but it's not always you want to have visits.
If you have a big glassdoor facing the front garden, that you sit right next to the whole day, should it be necessary to lock it with a key everytime you go to the kitchen or the toilet, just to keep the neighbors from coming in and surprising you in the toilet?
And the funniest part of all is when they ask you why you did not lock the door. Does that mean you have the right to enter any door that is unlocked?!?
Just wondering...
